It’s probably due to the compression. You may be getting macro blocks from it. I use a Windows Media Record compression at 640×480 resolution (WMV plot). I reckon they have a compressor for mac called flip that may possibly work. If not, try changing the compressor to AVI (divx plot avi).

ive had the same problem as u for like a month what i did was goto walmart get a 6-pin to 4-pin and get firewire card then on the backof the notebook ifu have Dell there is a affect of a L push this down this push the side pannel up or to the side it must pop out next take a screwdrive and find an unfilled metal slot on the bottom on the back of ur notebook loosen it exchange it with firewire card and screw it in hope that helps and still havent establish a firewire card but then again i havent looked
