He dragged me around town for about 2 days helping him find a TV. By far I must say after seeing so many TVs the Phillips is great, extremely clear picture and a soothing ambilight. So we took it to his place and wow. It really adds to the decor. Be sure to place it in front of a white wall. The ambilight is great. The picture comes in extremely bright, which is a plus. I dont know much about the Astute, but my brother bought the Phillips (larger size). He dragged me nearly town for about 2 days helping him find a TV. By far I must say after considering so many TVs the Phillips is splendid, exceptionally clear picture and a calming ambilight. So we took it to his house and wow. It really adds to the decor. Be sure to house it in adjoin of a white wall. The ambilight is splendid. The picture comes in exceptionally bright, which is a plus.
