Yes, you can. I’ve done this in the past. Your television needs to have the RCA or S-record port, as well as an RCA or S-Record Input mode. The only problem with this is that the output feature for S-record or RCA is austerely too poor for today’s feature ordinary. But yes…you can do this with an “ancient notebook.”

Your tv is an ancient CRT rear screen projection, if you really want to try and boost the picture. You can try and get the guns re-aligned. This will but cost cash. I am not sure how much it will cost. If you can get into the service menu options, you can re-align the guns physically.

The way that I did this was involving a 3.5 mm to Dual RCA (red and white) cable to the audio output of my PC to the audio input of the TV.
I did face some audio troubles when I did this, so it force not be a surefire solution, but it does seem to give up audio from PC to TV.
